John Terry sent a message to Sergio Aguero after the former Argentina striker joined his country’s celebrations following their World Cup final win over France.
Aguero was forced to retire last year due to a heart condition but remained a prominent figure in the camp throughout the tournament in Qatar.
Part of the Argentine team who won the Copa America in 2021, the former Manchester City striker had to call an end to his glittering career shortly after moving to Barcelona.
The 34-year-old was a long-term roommate of Lionel Messi’s and joined his countrymen on the pitch inside the Lusail Stadium, offering reminders of Terry’s actions when Chelsea won the Champions League in 2012.
Despite being suspended for the final, the Blues legend donned his full kit after their famous win over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena to capture Europe’s premier trophy for the first time.
If your going to do it, at least go for it and put the shin pads and boots on.🤣🤣🤣🇦🇷🏆💙 pic.twitter.com/Bn61Qdqim5
