John Swinney rules out compulsory redundancies amid NHS cuts

THE First Minister has insisted there is “no question” of workers facing compulsory redundancy as he embarks on a programme of major reforms to the public sector.

John Swinney announced plans in his Programme for Government that would see the number of area health boards in Scotland cut from 14 at present to just two.
