John Swinney: ‘Fundamental flaw’ in Sturgeon and Murrell having top SNP roles

There was a “fundamental flaw” in having Nicola Sturgeon and Peter Murrell in top positions in the SNP, Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney has said.

Mr Swinney said that he did not raise concerns at the time because he thought arrangements were well managed but that it is now “very clear” there was a flaw, after Murrell this week admitted embezzling more than £400,000 from the SNP.
