JOHN Swinney has backed Stephen Flynn after a row broke out over whether the Transport Secretary had been briefed about a gas leak on a CalMac ferry before appearing at a Holyrood committee.
The First Minister told the BBC that it was “obvious” Flynn had not seen emails sent to him before he appeared at the committee last month but admitted that the Transport Secretary should have been more across the issue, adding that “nobody's perfect”.
