Everywhere you look, there’s more than enough “Full House” content.
John Stamos has no desire to revisit the beloved family-centric sitcom with a second reboot, given the sudden death earlier this year of friend and co-star Bob Saget.
“It’s just not the same without him,” said Stamos, 59, who starred as Uncle Jesse in both the original show, which aired on ABC from 1987 to 1995, and the Netflix spinoff “Fuller House,” which aired from 2016 to 2020.
“There’s something missing, there’s a piece missing,” he continued. “We’re doing a lot of tributes. I did that Netflix tribute [June’s ‘Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute'], which was beautiful, I thought. Every chance I get, I talk about him. If we’re real quiet, we could hear him complaining right now that I don’t talk about him enough. We’ll continue to do tributes to him, but I don’t know about a ‘Full House’ one, though.”
Saget was 65 when he died after a stand-up tour in January, following a head injury. The comedian’s sudden death saw love pour in from across the entertainment industry, including his “Full House” and “Fuller House” family.
Stamos late last month told ABC Audio that Saget’s passing taught him to “just go tell people ... when you get a chance, that you love them, that you care about them, that you’re proud of them — whatever it may be, because tomorrow’s never promised.”
