Seahawks general manager John Schneider spoke with reporters yesterday a few hours after head coach Pete Carroll did. We didn’t learn a whole lot of new information from Schneider, but there were a couple of interesting answers thrown in.
Most importantly, Schneider says that the door is open for defensive end Carlos Dunlap to return to the team after being cut.
Seahawks GM John Schneider confirmed that Carlos Dunlap could return to team after being cut earlier. "We’re keeping the door open to bring him back because he’s a good pass rusher,'' Schneider said. But one factor is a 3-4 means the ends will have to play more special teams.

Dunlap led Seattle with 8.5 sacks last season but his contract made him an obvious cap casualty. He has been designated a post-June 1 cut.
Dunlap is now 33 years old and he’s traditionally been a 4-3 end in his career. However, the Seahawks can ill-afford to lose pass rushers right now, even after signing Uchenna Nwosu.
