Grimsby’s Toyota dealership has been named Best Small Retailer in the Japanese motor giant’s European network when it comes to excellence in customer service.
John Roe, a third generation family business that has traded for more than 50 years, has been awarded the Ichiban Award from among 2,500 brand retailers.
Tom Roe is now at the helm, with a team of 20 on the prominent Cromwell Road site and more than 100 across the wider group, taking in Scunthorpe and Hull outlets.
Matthew Arliss, group operations manager for John Roe, said: “The family aspect of our business is very important to us and our company strapline is ‘be part of the family’ - a message that applies equally to our customers and our staff.”
Ichiban is Japanese for ‘number one’.
