Comedian John Mulaney and actor Olivia Munn recently welcomed their second child, a daughter named Méi June Mulaney. The couple shared the news on social media, revealing that their daughter was born via a surrogate on Thursday.
In an Instagram post, Munn expressed her deep emotions about not being able to carry her daughter and thanked their gestational surrogate for her grace and understanding. She described the surrogate as a real-life angel who kept their baby safe for nine months, making their dreams come true.
Munn also shared that the name Méi, pronounced as 'may,' means plum in Chinese, adding a special cultural significance to their daughter's name.
Mulaney, 42, and Munn, 44, who tied the knot in July, are also parents to a two-year-old son named Malcolm. The couple's journey to expanding their family has been marked by challenges, including Munn's battle with breast cancer earlier this year.
Munn bravely revealed her breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent double mastectomy, crediting Mulaney for his unwavering support throughout her health struggles. She described Mulaney as her rock, emphasizing the importance of his presence during such a difficult time.
The couple's relationship blossomed in 2021, leading to the birth of their son, Malcolm, in November of the same year. Now, with the arrival of Méi June Mulaney, the family celebrates the newest addition to their loving household.
