John Lewis and Waitrose to fill more than 10,400 new roles

• This year's recruitment drive represents a reduction compared to last year's record target of 13,700 festive workers.
• Pay for the seasonal roles will start at £13.00 per hour, or £14.55 in London, rising to £13.25 and £14.80 respectively after 30 days.
• The business is focusing on young workers and guaranteeing interviews for up to 100 care-experienced young people who complete a job-shadowing placement.
• Seasonal shop roles will go live later in September, with candidates currently able to register their interest online.
