John Hartson insists Celtic should tell rivals Rangers to shove their away ticket allocation for next month’s Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
The Ibrox club have handed the Hoops 700 briefs for the April 3 showdown which would be the first time Celtic have taken a support to the Govan ground since September 2019.
But former Parkhead strike hero Hartson believes it should be a return to the full allocation of the Broomloan stand or nothing.
The Welshman tweeted: “I would say stuff the 700 tickets. It should be 10,000 fans-plus or nothing.
“If you’re one of the 700 I would think of the other Celtic fans who are missing out. We all know who started this lack of away fans nonsense.”
Rangers initially cut the away fans allocation at Ibrox following the arrival of Steven Gerrard in the summer of 2018.
The Ibrox club said it was down to a record demand for season tickets with the appointment of England and Liverpool legend Gerrard.
Celtic responded by handing Gers a similar amount of tickets, however, there have been no fans at either derby meetings this season with Covid restrictions contributing to that.
