John Harbaugh shares thoughts on the play of Eddie Jackson, Ar’Darius Washington

The Baltimore Ravens lost to the Cleveland Browns in Week 8 by the final score of 29-24. It was a heartbreaking defeat, with many factors contributing to why Baltimore dropped the game.

One reason the Ravens fell short was their secondary play. When asked about the performances of Eddie Jackson and Ar’Darius Washington, head coach John Harbaugh mentioned that he thought both played solid football and that the team needed to make a few more plays.

“I thought [Ar’Darius Washington and Eddie Jackson] played solid football. They were in the right spot [and] doing the right things the vast majority of time. I thought they played hard, made some good tackles and were in solid position [most] times. For all of us, we all want to just make a few more plays, get a few more pressures, get a few more sacks, get a few more batted balls, get a few more PBUs – that’d be good; catch the ball on the interceptions – that’s the big one from this game. Everybody wants to make plays. I just think we have to keep chasing that.”

Jackson struggled mightily on Sunday, while Washington also contributed to a poor defensive effort but made a few plays. The secondary must be better, and hopefully, that trend can start in Week 9 against the Denver Broncos.
