John Fury gives Tyson Fury retirement prediction ahead of Dillian Whyte fight

John Fury has stated that he does not believe Tyson Fury will retire after his fight with Dillian Whyte this weekend. Fury outlined his plans to hang up his gloves following his upcoming bout against Dillian Whyte, despite the likelihood of a unification bout.

The 33-year-old stated in March that he will bring an end to his illustrious career after his clash against his fellow Brit at Wembley on April 23rd. However, he has recently refused to confirm whether he will retire - stating that all his attentions are currently on Dillian Whyte before making a decision.

Those comments came as a surprise, with it widely expected that Fury would face Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight unification bout. But Fury has made it clear he doesn't need to take any future fights as he has more money than he would ever need.

However, his father, John, does not believe this will be the case. It will be the first time that Fury has fought in the UK since 2018, and Fury Sr. believes that fighting in front of 94,000 Wembley Stadium will sway him to stay in the game, potentially fighting two other opponents next in a unification bout.

John said: "I don't think this will be his last fight, no. There's Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua - there's more he can achieve."

Usyk himself is hoping for a heavyweight unification bout with Fury after the Gypsy King faces Whyte this weekend.

The Ukrainian Usyk has stated that he'll be watching and studying Fury's approach in the fight with the hope that he'll face the heavyweight champion next after he faces Anthony Joshua for the second time later this summer.
