Bristol Rovers beat Premier League club Crystal Palace to the signing of Lewis Gordon, Joey Barton has revealed.

The signing of the left-back was announced by the Gas before Saturday's game against Burton Albion, with the 21-year-old going straight into the starting XI after penning a two-year deal.

Gordon impressed Barton in training this week, with the Gas manager moving quickly to secure the former Brentford defender's signature.
