Newcastle United supporters have picked out Joelinton as their player of the match during the 2-1 win over Brentford after they gave the Brazilian a rating of 8.3 out of 10 for his performance at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Despite going down officially as a David Raya own goal, it was Joelinton's ball across the face of the goal that led the Bees keeper to turn into his own net and start the Magpies comeback. Alexander Isak - the second highest rated player from the game with a score of 8.2 - would go on to score the winner in the 61st minute with a sublime finish into the top corner.
Nick Pope also played an instrumental role in the victory after he became the first goalkeeper to save an Ivan Toney penalty in the Premier League, seeing him pick up a rating of 7.9 from the fans. Half-time substitute Callum Wilson would also receive the same score after he set up Isak for the second Newcastle goal.

Only Matt Ritchie (5.8), who came on in the dying moments with little time to impact the game, would receive less than a 6 from the Toon Army in what was a glowing set of full-time ratings. Supporters will no doubt be hoping they can be equally as generous after the game against Aston Villa on Saturday.
