You knew this was coming the moment the James Harden and Ben Simmons trade between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers dropped on Thursday afternoon: Joel Embiid was going to respond with something epic.
He didn’t disappoint.
After some cryptic tweets recently and some words over the year about Simmons that indicate some kind of rift, Embiid tweeted out one single photo, a meme that I can sum up as: The guy who stopped by the funeral of one of his biggest haters … just to make sure said hater was dead.
I’m trying to figure out if the hater in question is Simmons, NBA fans or someone else, but if it’s his now-former teammate? Wow:
