Maybe it all works out for the Indianapolis Colts and Jeff Saturday (hey, the players could buy in after what we saw from the former offensive lineman this week).
But if it doesn’t? It’s going to be a disaster of epic proportions given his lack of coaching experience.
Former Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Joe Thomas was gobsmacked by the hiring, as he spoke about on Friday’s Good Morning Football.
In a fantastic rant, as you can watch below, he touched on Jim Irsay hiring his “drinking buddy,” and told an anecdote about ex-Browns head coach Rob Chudzinski, who almost never saw his kids during the season:
"It was the most egregious thing I can ever remember happening in the NFL…

“The disrespect that NFL coaches have to feel when they saw that this hire was made is higher than almost anything I can ever possibly remember in the NFL,” Thomas said. “And then to defend the decision by saying, ‘I’m happy that he doesn’t have any experience because he’s not scared’? Like, if you didn’t already insult every person that’s worked their entire life to be a head coach in the NFL, then to go up there and say, ‘I like that he has no experience because all of y’all NFL coaches are scared because you use logic and analytics to make decisions’?”
Yep.
