Joe Swash says that he and wife Stacey Solomon are “addicted” to having babies and that time will only tell if they add to their brood.
Currently, the former EastEnders actor and Loose Women star have six children between them, ranging from 16 to four months old, including son Rex, three, and daughters Rose, one, and Belle, four months.
Swash is also dad to 16-year-old Harry with his ex Emma Sophocleous, while Solomon has sons Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, from previous relationships.
While admitting that things can get tricky childcare-wise at times – as they have “no help apart from family” – they say they have found a way to make it work, and that they wouldn’t rule out having another.
“The baby bit goes so fast, and then before you know it, they’re toddlers – then you yearn for babies again. We’re slightly addicted to babies – it’s so nice to be needed. You think, ‘Six has to be it,’ but I’d never say never,” Swash told OK! magazine.
Adding: “They’re only babies for three or four years before Stacey starts wanting another one, so I have to make the most of it now!”
Describing his parenting style as “chaotic”, Swash insists he likes to be “hands-on”.
“They’re only going to be kids for a short amount of time, so me and Stacey are just trying to make the most of it,” he told the publication.
He says that he’s also open to the idea of fostering, having been inspired by his mum Kiffy, who has been a foster carer herself for the last 15 years.
As a result, Swash has two cherished foster siblings.
