Joe Swash caught in horrific wind as trees come tumbling down at Pickle Cottage

Storm Eunice wreaked havoc at Pickle Cottage today as its brutal winds tore down trees while Joe Swash was caught up in the chaos.

Caught in the storm, Joe expressed his disbelief over the extreme winds destroying his home and garden he shares with fiancee Stacey Solomon.

While being battered in the wind, he told his 1.9million followers on Insta Stories: "What is happening? This wind is unbelievable! Look!"

He went on to show a large tree that had collapsed on the floor, branches torn, and continued: "We've already lost a tree - what's going on?! This is madness!"

Stacey is currently away from home while filming and gave an update revealing that she was staying safe inside in the warm.

Sharing a photo of herself breastfeeding daughter Rose, she said: "Sorry I've been so quiet! These filming days are super long and any break I get I'm like this. I'm missing the boys so so much. Two sleeps down to go. I hope you're all ok and keeping safe in this crazy storm. Miss uuu can't wait to be home & back on here."

It comes as Storm Eunice causes chaos around the UK, ripping O2 Arena's iconic roof "to pieces", blowing over lorries on the motorway and causing travel chaos as over 430 flights were cancelled.

Hundreds of rail lines blocked and road bridges have also been closed after a rare "do not travel" alert was issued across railways in England and Wales

Both the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge and the M48 Severn Bridge, which link England and Wales across the River Severn, were closed due to high winds.

It is believed to be the first time both crossings have been closed simultaneously.

The train operators which stopped running all services on Friday afternoon were: c2c, Chiltern Railways, Great Western Railway, Greater Anglia, South Western Railway, Southeastern and Transport for Wales.

Network Rail closed all routes in Kent, while every line in south-east London was blocked by trees.
