Joe Rogan Reveals Kamala Harris Campaign Refused to Talk about Marijuana Legalization: 'She Put a Lot of People in Jail for Weed'

Joe Rogan revealed that marijuana legalization was not up for discussion in the Kamala Harris interview that never materialized.

In an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan discussed the failed scheduling attempts between his team and the Kamala Harris campaign.

"It seems like her campaign was kind of chaotic, no one could make a decision," he said, describing the apparent difficulties in scheduling a time to record a show with the Vice President. "They had -- I don't know how many conversations with my folks -- but multiple conversations, giving different dates, different times."

Rogan also divulged that the Harris team provided restrictions for topics they were unwilling to cover. "She didn't want to talk about marijuana legalization, which I think is hilarious," Rogan said.

Rogan conjectured that the subject was off-limits "because of her prosecuting record" during her time as the District Attorney of San Francisco.

"You know," Rogan continued, "She put a lot of people in jail for weed, 1,500 apparently."

In a Fox News appearance during the presidential race, Donald Trump claimed Harris put "thousands and thousands of Black people in jail over Marijuana."

Harris oversaw over 1,900 marijuana convictions during her tenure as San Francisco's DA between 2004 and 2010, according to records from the DA's office obtained by Bay Area News Group. However, only a few dozen were sent to state prison.
