Joe Lycett made a joke during his BAFTA Television Awards acceptance speech which appeared to take another swipe at Holly Willoughby amid her 'feud' with co-star Phillip Schofield.
The comedian, 34, wasn't present at the awards show but still managed to make a cheeky dig at the presenter, following one made by host Rob Beckett.
Joe provided a speech to be read out on his behalf, which claimed his PR team told him he has shingles.
It appeared to reference Holly's absence from This Morning last month where she took a week off the show due to the illness.
Producer James Kirkwood accepted the award on Joe's behalf after he was honoured in the Features category for his show Lycett Vs Beckham: Got Your Back At Xmas.
Reading Joe's message from his phone James said: "Joe said, “I’m sorry to not be there, but according to my PR [public relations] team I have shingles.”
Following laughter from the audience, Joe went on to thank the people he'd worked with.
The gag also comes after an alleged feud between the ITV hosts.
ITV confirmed Holly and Phil will be back on the This Morning sofa as usual on Monday morning despite a number of controversies.
Low points include queue skipping to see the late Queen lying in state and Phil taking time away from This Morning while his brother was on trial for sex crimes.
Holly was absent when Phil finally returned to screens and it emerged this weekend that Holly has reportedly cut ties with her longtime TV co-host and close friend.
The Mirror exclusively reported she'd been pushing for ITV to make a decision on Schofield so she can rebrand herself and plan for the future if needs be.
Joe Lycett wasn't the only one to poke fun at the This Morning stars as hosts Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan also joined in.
Just minutes into the show, the duo made a dig at Phil and Holly during their introduction speech.
Romesh started the gag by stating: "Some incredible programmes have been nominated this year."
"Imelda Staunton is here," pointed out Rob. "It's exciting isn't it."
He continued: "She's nominated for her performance in The Crown, apparently Phil and Holly got to watch that a couple of days before everybody else."
"A little bit of edge for you early doors, do you like that," quipped Romesh.
As the audience awkwardly laughed, Rob added: "All you ITV guys keeping a straight face hey."
It was reported Holly was so "upset" about the rumoured feud that she could be absent from work on Monday morning.
But ITV officially confirmed to the Mirror: "Holly and Phillip will be back on the sofa tomorrow."
