During a recent performance at the Festival d’été de Québec, Joe Jonas opted to skip singing a lyric that referenced his ex-wife, Sophie Turner. The Jonas Brothers were on stage together when Joe chose not to mention Game of Thrones in the song 'Cool,' a track released in 2019. Turner, known for her role as Sansa Stark on the hit HBO series, was a central figure in the show until its conclusion in 2019.
This decision by Joe to avoid the Game of Thrones reference follows the confirmation of his divorce from Turner. The couple announced their split in September 2023, citing an irretrievably broken marriage after four years together. They share two daughters, and custody arrangements have been a point of contention between them.
