Former FAI treasurer Joe Delaney has passed away at the age of 82.
Delaney was a longtime treasurer for the FAI and left the association back in 1996 and was the father of former FAI chief John Delaney.
Delaney previously acted as Chairman of Waterford United and was Life President of St Michael's FC in his native Tipperary and passed away on Tuesday, 20 June.

Joe was also an honorary President of the Munster Football Association and acted as chairman in Waterford between 1976 and 1982
The FAI posted their sympathies on social media on Thursday morning, saying: The Board of the Football Association of Ireland offers our condolences on the death of former Honourary Officer Joe Delaney."
Delaney was the father of five children, John, Joanne, Paul, Mary-Pat and Jane and his funeral will take place at St Michael's Church in Tipperary Town at 11.30 am on Saturday, June 24. His wife Joan passed away suddenly last year.
