Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow says the team expects wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase to make his return on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
Burrow said as much during Wednesday’s meeting with reporters, per Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
This tracks with an update Bengals head coach Zac Taylor provided after the team’s post-bye victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers last weekend.
Chase has been out since the team’s win over the Falcons before the bye with a hip issue. But he avoided a trip to injured reserve specifically so that he could possibly make it back against the Titans.
For what it’s worth, while Chase is one of the best players in the league, it’s worth noting that Burrow has been playing some of the best ball of his career without Chase.
