Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow returned to the practice field Wednesday for the first time since injuring his calf in late July and had some fun announcing his return. He did so by re-upping an iconic meme of himself.
Burrow, an Ohio native, is a fan of the NBA’s Cavaliers, and at some point, the internet discovered a hilarious 2014 picture of a young Burrow sporting a very small LeBron James Cavs jersey with the caption, “He’s back.” Of course, he was referring to James’s return to Cleveland at the time, but the picture also describes his recent health update perfectly.
The fourth-year pro posted the picture to his Instagram story Wednesday morning to let the football world know he’s no longer sidelined, and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

It’s unclear if he’ll start in the Bengals’ Week 1 matchup against the Browns on Sept. 10, but the game will be in Cleveland: the perfect stage for Burrow to remind the sports world who he is.
