Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow didn’t hold back much when talking about one of his heated rivals during a recent podcast appearance.
Burrow, appearing on the Full Send podcast, revealed he loves playing the Ravens because of the way they talk trash.
“I love playing the Ravens because they talk,” Burrow said. “I love that. It (the score) was a lot to a little. I love playing the Ravens. They like to talk. I don’t start the talking but I usually, somebody pokes me, I can talk.”
Burrow’s referring to the season sweep of the Ravens last year, which included wins in 41-17 and 41-21 fashion. In the first, he threw for 416 yards and three scores and 525 yards and four scores in the second.
That was a bit of a revenge tour for Burrow, who in one game against the Ravens as a rookie, threw no touchdowns in a 27-3 loss.
This will surely function as bulletin-board material for the Ravens. But this was Burrow speaking as a whole about trash talkers, where he crowned Matthew Judon (now with the Patriots) as the king of trash talk.
More than anything, this is just another affirmation of Burrow’s personality. He’s often detailed how trash talk fuels him, with the Ravens getting the nod as the best at it.
