The consensus idea surrounding Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow — internally and amongst fans — was that the bye week of rest would only help the superstar quarterback get even closer to 100 percent.
Burrow’s injured calf was blatantly getting better before the break, culminating in better mobility and five passing touchdowns against just two interceptions during the two-game winning streak.
But Burrow heating up and the continued improvement of the calf only projected to get better with a well-timed bye.
Monday seemed to reinforce the idea as the Bengals got back to practice in the early stages of prepping to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 8.
Fox 19’s Joe Danneman captured the pertinent clip:

Short and sweet, but similar clips during the weeks before the last two games seemed to accurately hint at big things, too.
More clips will follow starting Wednesday and the rest of the week, but this is the first early sign that the general idea was probably right.
