Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, a game-time decision, attempted nearly 50 passes in Monday night’s primetime win over the Los Angeles Rams.
After, Burrow provided an update on his injured calf, saying that he remains day-to-day and learned a lot from the entire process over the last month and change.

There was a funny moment in there too, with Burrow explaining his give-and-take decision on the re-injury risk.
“There is risk to go out there and potentially re-injure it,” Burrow said, according to Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic. “But there’s also the risk to not go out there and be 0-3. So, I wanted to be there for my guys, and I was confident that I would be able to do what I needed to to get the win.”
Instead, the Bengals are 1-2 and now turn around on a short week for a trip to Tennessee against the Titans. Presumably, Burrow will take it easy in practice this week too and likely use that same heating device on the bench between drives next weeked.
But it’s a conversation about possible 1-3 vs. 2-2 records in a tough AFC and Burrow’s willing to keep gritting through it.
