Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has received plenty of praise for his caption game on social media.
Sometimes he’s got unique stuff that gets a laugh. Other times, like this past week, he’s dipped back into a well-traveled well for fun.
Over on Instagram, Burrow shared a photo of his work at practice last week with the caption that says “Hands don’t look that small here.”
That’s a reference to back in 2020 before Burrow was the No. 1 pick, when his “small” hand measurements prompted negative comments from onlookers.
He even wrote this in a gem of a tweet at the time: “Considering retirement after I was informed the football will be slipping out of my tiny hands. Please keep me in your thoughts.”

Granted, the 9-inch hand measurement was one of the smallest for a first-round passer since 2008, but it was pretty obvious that the rest of his game would translate quite well to the pros.
