Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has long been a fan of music artist Kid Cudi, going so far as to call the Ohio native one of his idols growing up.
Cudi was one of several celebrities to reach out to Burrow prior to the team’s AFC title game Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs, something the quarterback described as surreal. After the Bengals won the game to advance to the Super Bowl, he heard from Cudi again. This time it was a congratulations with a request: his jersey.
Burrow obliged, sending Cudi the jersey, autographed and with a message that says “Ohio Love.” Cudi, clearly having mutual feelings about Burrow, shared a photo on Twitter, saying he was “geeked” about the gift.

Cudi is a Cleveland native, but that’s not stopping him from rooting for his home team’s rivals. He plans to wear Burrow’s autographed jersey to the Super Bowl before framing it, putting the state of Ohio above all.
The state means a lot to Burrow, too. He attended high school in Ohio and famously played for Ohio State before transferring to LSU, where he won a national championship. Now he has a chance to bring a Super Bowl to the state and has one of its most famous residents behind him.
