Joe Burrow, Bengals address the Chiefs trash talk one last time

At least for now, the Cincinnati Bengals can put any drama with the Kansas City Chiefs behind them.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals moved past the Chiefs for what was technically the third time in the 2022 calendar year with Sunday’s 27-24 win.

That went down after a long week of back and forth in which Chiefs defensive back Justin Reid got the ball rolling with some trash talk. Ja’Marr Chase responded to that trash talk. So did other Bengals.

Burrow himself never engaged with it until after the game, dropping a bit of a zinger briefly when asked about it, per ESPN’s Ben Baby:

Reid got the names and numbers of players wrong while trash talking, hence Burrow’s comment.

Chase himself took to social media to once again bring up what he said before the game:

Barring another fateful playoff matchup, this is the last anyone will have to hear about it until potentially next season.
