US President Joe Biden has accused Vladimir Putin of 'genocide' for his devastating invasion of Ukraine.

In a stinging attack over the Russian assault he said that Putin was 'just trying to wipe out the idea of being able to be Ukrainian.'

The comments came on Tuesday as Biden gave a speech at an ethanol plant in Iowa and he later stood by his words as he prepared to board Air Force One.
