Departing Joe Aribo has confirmed his exit from Rangers in an emotional social media statement.
The midfielder was one of the club's top performers last year and he got the opening goal in the Europa League final before their penalty-kick heartbreak in Seville. He racked up a mammoth 70 games for club and country but heading into the final year of his deal, he is set to join Southampton for an initial £6m fee.
The deal is yet to be confirmed by either club but is expected to be in the days ahead. And Aribo has admitted that he will be leaving as he wrote on Twitter: "It's been an amazing journey being part of this special club. I hold Rangers very close to my heart as they gave me the opportunity to showcase my talent on a bigger stage.
