Joe Allen has handed Rob Page an injury concern ahead of the World Cup after Russell Martin revealed the midfielder will miss Swansea City's derby clash with Cardiff City.
The midfielder has not featured for the Swans since sustaining a hamstring issue in his side's 3-0 triumph over Hull City prior to the international break. He had been expected to return to action in mid-October although he will now miss Sunday's contest with the Bluebirds.
And ahead of Wales' tournament opener against the United States of America in Qatar on November 21, Martin has confirmed that Swansea are monitoring the 32-year-old's situation.

"He’s frustrated," said the head coach. "He’s angry and upset at missing this one for sure. We’ll just have to keep assessing the situation.
"He’s got an unbelievable mentality and contributes so much, even if he's not playing on the pitch. We hope that at some point soon we’ll have more clarity on that one.
"We have to accept that it’s a big year for Joe, coming back here and the World Cup. He’ll be desperate to take part in all of that. He’s gutted to miss the games he’s missed for us. It’s been a source of frustration for us.
"He’s doing everything he can to be fit for us as quickly as possible and everything he can to be fit and on the plane for the World Cup.
"There’s no definitive answer at the moment so we’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully it’s something we discussed and didn’t need to. We are just waiting and seeing at the moment. Hopefully we’ll have more clarity soon and everyone’s desperate to make sure he’s involved there, and fingers crossed we can make that happen."
Meanwhile, Swansea go into Sunday's clash with Cardiff having won five of their last six Championship matches. Ryan Manning could return to action, although the game is likely to come too soon for Jamie Paterson.
The Swans won 3-0 and 4-0 in the corresponding matches last term to clinch a first ever league double in the fixture. And Martin believes
"The second one last year was incredible," added Martin. "Probably the most enjoyable moment. Seeing all of the staff and players on the pitch celebrating, it will live with us for a long time.
"We sat in the dugout and watched everyone enjoy it. It was a beautiful moment. It was amazing and hopefully we can have more days like that."
Kick-off in the derby is at 12pm on Sunday.
