London’s growing jobs crisis dramatically deepened today when new official figures showed the capital’s unemployment rate has jumped to a five year high of 7.6%.
The jobless tally is by far the worst of any region in the country and compares with a UK average of 5.2% and is almost double the 4% rate in the south east.
