The Department for Communities has confirmed that the Bank Holiday for the Queen's funeral on Monday will affect many of its services.
Its offices and business operations will be closed for the day.
It means that all jobs and benefits offices will be closed and will not reopen until Tuesday September 20.
The department said that any benefits or pension payments due to people on those days would not be affected and would go ahead.
Those with jobs and benefits appointments on Monday will have those pencilled in at a different date.
Health assessments scheduled for Monday will be postponed and according to the department, the relevant health assessment provider will contact those affected to reschedule appointments.
The Appeals Service is also impacted, with those waiting on an appeal scheduled for Monday set to have it rescheduled.
The department says a new priority listing date will be issued to those people.
In terms of heritage sites, Carrickfergus and Dunluce Castles will be closed, while the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland will also close for the day.
