The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) has warned staff compulsory redundancies might take place due to a predicted loss of over £2.5m.
The city's world famous performing arts institute, co-founded by Sir Paul McCartney, has warned of job cuts due to under recruitment across a range of courses. LIPA is currently consulting with staff over voluntary redundancies due to a predicted loss to income of over £2.5m.
LIPA bosses have told staff that compulsory job losses could be considered due to low student numbers, frozen tuition fees and inflation. An email from management to staff at LIPA has been shared with the ECHO.
