Watford striker Joao Pedro has confirmed that he will be staying at the club beyond the end of the current transfer window.
The Brazilian had been strongly linked with a move away from Vicarage Road in recent weeks, with Newcastle United and Everton both heavily linked most recently. The former later confirmed a swoop for Alexander Isak, while the Blues have later strengthened their forward options with the arrival of Neal Maupay.
Despite the Brighton striker coming to Merseyside, however, reports still suggested that Everton were interested in moving for the Watford star - with some suggesting a deal worth up to £25m was offered. However, that was said to have been rejected, and the forward has now left no doubt on his intentions for the coming campaign.

Taking to his Instagram page, he wrote: "I'm very happy here. I love being at Watford and I want to do more with them.
"I spoke to the Board yesterday and I am fully committed to the club and looking forward to a successful season. Let's go Hornets."
At the time of writing Everton are still waiting to announce two signings on transfer deadline day with deals for Idrissa Gueye and James Garner nearing completion. The ECHO understands another attacking option is also a possibility as the day rolls on.
