Highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Joao Gomes has been linked with a move to the Premier League after impressing for Flamengo - and the 21-year-old has already declared "Liverpool are a team I'd play for."
The Reds were linked with making a move for a midfielder back in summer as speculation swirled over a move for Aurelien Tchouameni - who opted for Real Madrid - and Liverpool ended up bringing in Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus on deadline day.
Fresh reports from Brazil are now suggesting Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United could be keeping a close eye on Gomes.

Last month a question was put to Gomes on Instagram live on the possibility of moving to the Premier League and, in particular, Liverpool.
"Liverpool are a team I’d play for. I have the greatest desire to play,” said Joao Gomes (via ESPN Brazil ). "Playing in the Champions League is my biggest dream and that of my family, my biggest dream in football.”
Journalist Julio Miguel Neto has claimed Liverpool are preparing to make an offer to sign Gomes in either January or next summer’s transfer window with Jurgen Klopp supposedly a huge fan of the midfielder.
Reports claimed that Erik ten Hag was prepared to pay over £32million to bring Gomes to Old Trafford in the summer and the Reds may have to battle it out with United in the next transfer window.
