Joao Felix has put Manchester United on hold to "100 per cent" focus on Portugal's World Cup campaign.
The 23-year-old forward has been made available for a transfer by Atletico Madrid after his relationship with manager Diego Simeone deteriorated. Having reportedly seen a £110million bid rejected by the La Liga giants over the summer, the Red Devils are still believed to be keen on securing his services in the January transfer window.
United look to have begun their search to find a replacement for Felix's Portugal teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently saw his contract with the club terminated in acrimonious circumstances. But if Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag indeed wants the ex-Benfica starlet at Old Trafford, he'll have to wait until his country's run in Qatar comes to an end.
