Chelsea loan star Joao Felix may have already dropped a major hint over a potential permanent switch to the club in the summer transfer window. The Portugal international joined on a six-month loan deal in January, hopeful of adding quality and depth to the attacking areas.
The 23-year-old has scored just once for the Blues in a stuttering attacking force, but his ability when given license to roam is quite clear. The forward has a few months remaining to stamp his mark at Stamford Bridge before returning to the Rojiblancos, with uncertainty as to what will come after.
When asked whether qualification for Europe will be key in a future switch, Felix told reporters earlier this week: "Yeah, playing in the Champions League is always different. It’s a competition that everyone wants to play. But now I’m focused on this Champions League, on the game. We have a lot of games yet to try to reach the Champions League in the league. It’s not over. But, yeah, playing in the Champions League is an important decision, but the future no one knows, so let’s see what happens and then we’ll see.”

If the Blues were able to make the move permanent in the summer, a report from Mundo Deportivo has claimed that it will cost the side £124million. It would be an expensive outlay for a player, though one who has plenty of promise and quality that will build for the future.
Felix himself may have dropped a major hint over his future if his social media is anything to go by as he liked a tweet regarding his future. A post from transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reads: "Joao Felix, extremely good for Chelsea — that’s why #CFC plan to negotiate his permanent stay in the summer."
The like could indicate him acknowledging the fact that Chelsea are looking to land him in the summer, though it remains to be seen if that is both possible and plausible for the club in the coming months. In the mean time, full focus will have to be on stringing wins together.
