Shot in Waco, Texas at the Hillcrest Estate, Joanna and Loloi came together to create a series of spaces and schemes that reflect the warm, lived-in nature of her new fall collection. From the bedroom to the dining room, there's a rug to suit every room.
In a new video shared on Loloi's Instagram, Joanna was asked to share the top places in a home that 'absolutely must' have a rug. 'The foyer – people walk in, and it's like a welcome to a cozy home,' Joanna explained. 'Number two I would say your living room for sure. It brings everything together, it brings that space together but it's also nice and comfortable and practical and beautiful.'
'And number 3 the bedroom – you want your bedroom to feel cozy and warm. I also like to have a rug by my sink,' she suggests, referring to the kitchen. 'Because when I'm washing dishes I want to feel a soft rug [underfoot].'
‘For any design project, I draw my inspiration from nature. I love the simple and elegant way colors and light blend together,’ Joanna tells Homes & Gardens. ‘These hues that nature unveils often end up being the perfect palette for whatever it is I’m working on. For this collection specifically, the way light and shadows play together in early spring is what inspired the raised textures and tonal colors in the rugs.’
