Dame Joan Collins continued her recovery from a pinch nerved in her leg by dancing to Blondie in her St Tropez pool.
The Dynasty actress, 89, wearing a light blue bikini, sun hat and sunglasses, looked to be having a wonderful time as she boogied to Blondie's 1978 megahit Heart of Glass.
Dame Joan suffered a pinched nerve in her leg last month and was admitted to the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco for treatment. However, she is back at her home in St Tropez and walking around - and, as her latest Instagram post shows, she is now doing more than mere walking!
Her representative confirmed that she is "doing fine" following the health scare, adding: "The pain has been excruciating but fortunately she's dealt with it, and she's okay now." The rep added that Dame Joan is "enjoying the rest of her holiday in St. Tropez" as she recovers, but added that pinched nerves are brutal and "the most painful thing".
Nothing seemed to be holding Dame Joan back as she showed off her moves to her 278,000 followers on Instagram. She exclaimed, "Yay, summer!" as her husband Percy Gibson, 57, was heard chuckling behind the camera.
In her caption, the movie and TV legend wrote: "Nothing like having #funinthesun! #poollife #southoffrance #poolside #hotweather #coolingoff."
Despite the pain and recovery period, the star's rep insisted that "this will not inhibit her fashion whatsoever" and that it is fine for her to wear heels. Indeed, a pal told Page Six last month: "She’s 89 and is still walking around in six-inch heels."
Pinched nerves can cause intense pain. They occur when too much pressure is applied to a nerve by surrounding tissues such as bones, cartilage, muscles or tendons. Symptoms can also include tingling, numbness and overall weakness. Rest is the most common cure, although more serious cases can require surgery.
Though the condition was painful, Dame Joan says she was grateful for the hospital staff's care of her. She wrote: "Not fun! But they were great!"
