New England Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon is on pace to have another productive season.
He has 14.5 sacks on the year, which leads the NFL and eclipses his total of 12.5 from the 2021 campaign. NFL stars around the league are taking notice, and that includes Arizona Cardinals defensive end JJ Watt.
Watt spent many years at the top of NFL sack leader lists. He led the NFL in sacks in 2012 and 2014. The star defensive playmaker is well on his way to a Hall of Fame career with 108 total sacks. He hasn’t had the same production in Arizona, tallying 7.5 sacks in two seasons, including 6.5 sacks this year.
Watt and Judon met on the field following New England’s 27-13 win over the Cardinals. The two exchanged compliments, as Judon recorded 1.5 sacks in the game.
“Hey, you played your balls off, brother,” Watt told New England’s star edge rusher. “I appreciate you.”
“So much respect, man,” Judon told Watt. “You’ve been doing this for a long time, and we’re all watching, man. We’re all following you, man.”

It’s quite clear that New England has a dynamic pass-rusher in Judon. It’s also becoming clear that the man with the red sleeves is finally getting the recognition he deserves.
