After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent Hollywood strikes, the outdoor concert stage of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' is making a comeback. The revival kicks off on April 17 with acclaimed musician Chris Stapleton taking the stage. Stapleton, known for his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics, will perform his song 'It Takes A Woman' as part of the show's relaunch.
The outdoor stage, situated in the parking lot behind the Hollywood studio where 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' is filmed, has been a beloved feature of the late-night talk show. The last time it was in operation was in February 2020, just before the pandemic hit. The show, like many others, had to go on hiatus during the Hollywood strikes last year.
Stapleton's appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' follows his recent performance on 'Saturday Night Live,' where he wowed audiences with renditions of 'White Horse' and 'Mountains of My Mind.' In addition to his musical performance, Stapleton will also engage in an interview segment alongside fellow guest Rob McElhenney.
Looking ahead, the outdoor stage will host a lineup of talented artists, including Imagine Dragons, Cage the Elephant, and Incubus. Tequila Don Julio is sponsoring the concert series, which is expected to draw crowds of over 1,000 fans.
Over the years, the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' outdoor stage has seen a diverse array of performers, ranging from legendary acts like Prince and Elton John to contemporary stars such as Lady Gaga, Cardi B, and Dua Lipa. The show, which airs on ABC at 11:35 p.m. ET on weeknights and is available for streaming on Hulu the next day, is produced by a team led by executive producers Erin Irwin, Molly McNearney, Jennifer Sharron, and David Craig.
Don't miss out on the exciting performances and interviews lined up for the return of the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' outdoor concert stage, a must-see destination for music lovers and late-night TV enthusiasts alike.
