Comedian Jimmy Carr has branded David Chappelle's show as "crazy" after an armed attacker invaded the stage during his performance.
David Chappelle, 48, was performing on Tuesday night at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles as part of the Netflix Is A Joke festival, when a man who was allegedly armed with a knife and gun ran past security and got on stage.
Videos surfaced on Twitter showing the staggering moment when an audience member launches himself at the comedian and attempts to wrestle him to the ground mid-performance.
Security were quick to respond as they dashed on stage to help contain the attacker.

Actor and comedian Jamie Foxx was also reported to help security detain the stage invader.
David Chappelle later went on to thank the actor saying: "I just want to say I’ve had an incredible time. This guy is a genius, we’ve got to protect him at all times, man. This is what it’s about."

Jimmy Carr attended the show on Tuesday night, and posted a picture of him and David on Twitter with the caption: "The Hollywood Bowl show with the legendary David Chappelle was crazy. Just happy everyone's ok."
A follower of the British comedian replied back to the picture of the pair saying: "Not so sure the attacker is ok though - are arms supposed to bend that way?", with a circulated video of the attacker who is being loaded onto an ambulance on a stretcher who's arms and hands are dislocated.
Jimmy is known in the comedy industry for his dark humour.
He also regularly works with streaming site Netflix and recently released a solo comedy special last year called 'Jimmy Carr: His Dark Material'.
