Jimmy Carr has revealed his “spicy take” on drugs.
The comedian, 53, was speaking to fellow comic Katherine Ryan on her podcast, What’s My Age Again? when he revealed his thoughts on cannabis.
“I've got a spicy take on drugs. Here's my take on drugs, like, certainly for marijuana,” he said about the Class B drug.
“I think for weed I think should be illegal for the under 30s. I think it's a performance inhibiting drug.

“I think especially so many young men that are just sitting in basements smoking weed and they're doing nothing. And it robs people of their ambition in the crucial years.”
But he added that he thinks the drug should then be legal for those older.
“I think it should be legal 30 to 50. And then I think over 50 mandatory…,” he added.
“Well because old men are taking all the cash. And the redistribution of wealth would be aided by men going slow down.”
In a more serious turn of conversation, Carr also opened up about struggling with body dysmorphia.
“I'm pretty body conscious as it is. I mean, I would say not, like I think I've got an eating disorder, but I think I'm very conscious of weight, very conscious of staying sort of trim,” he added.
“In a way that's probably on balance, maybe not the healthiest, really. I think the sort of body dysmorphia sort of thing was, was always associated with women with, you know, bulimia and anorexia.
“And I think increasingly there's a lot of men that become very body conscious.
“I think it's probably a product of social media as much as anything else.”

In December, Carr said previous weight loss was linked to his mother Nora’s death aged 57 in 2001 following her battle with pancreatitis.
The presenter - who has also been open about getting “tweakments” to his face - said Nora’s passing made him want to stay as healthy as possible.
“My mother didn’t look after herself, was maybe a little bit overweight,” he said on The Rosebud with Gyles Brandeth podcast.
“She was unhealthy and then she got sick and then she died. And that’s not lost on me in terms of, I’m very particular about trying to keep myself trim.”
