Thousands of people have signed a petition urging Netflix to remove Jimmy Carr’s latest stand-up special.
The comic, 49, sparked outrage in his new Netflix show His Dark Materials show by making a sickening remark about the Holocaust.
In the clip, he tells an ill-judged quip referencing the murder of up to half a million Roma and Sinti people by the Nazi regime - which has led to enraged viewers wanting the clip removed off the streaming giant's site.
14,587 people have signed the petition named Jimmy Carr: The Genocide of Roma is Not a Laughing Matter and nearly 5,000 have attached comments to the page.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Health Secretary Sajid Javid, several Traveller and Roma charities and anti-fascist organisations have slammed Jimmy after the comments came to light.
Over the weekend, Jimmy said he fears that he is "going to get cancelled" following his widely-condemned comments.
Following a fierce backlash, Carr addressed the furore when on stage at the Whitley Bay Playhouse for his Terribly Funny Show on Sunday.
During the show, he made quips about being cancelled, telling his audience: "The joke that ends my career is already out there."
He also spoke about catching a disorder from a "ch***y p*ff" and was heckled by a woman who yelled: "Are we going to talk about the holocaust?"
Carr replied: "We are going to talk about cancel culture, the whole thing.
