Jim White has dropped a hint that Farhad Moshiri could be about to sell his stake in Everton Football Club to a consortium - revealing he had been informed initial talks between both parties had been "positive".
Reports emerged on Monday evening claiming that former Manchester United and Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon was leading a consortium interested in buying Moshiri out of Everton.
And now White has given his take and confirmed that he had reached out to the Everton owner, who he is known to have close contact with.
Speaking on talkSPORT, White said: "It’s our understanding that talks are indeed ongoing between Peter Kenyon’s consortium and representatives of Farhad Moshiri and those talks are at this stage are 'positive'."

White added: "This morning, I got through to Farhad but it was a straight 'no comment' from Farhad Moshiri on this story. Those close to Farhad have emphasised to us, this morning, that we have to remember he has invested in the city and that is evident in the £500m investment in Everton’s new stadium - that should not be lost on us."
Moshiri last week released an open lette r to Everton supporters apologising for the relegation battle the club endured for large periods of the season -and pledging that it would be take more calculated steps in the near future.
The 67-year-old said: “I am committed to securing the future success of the club by delivering a fully funded stadium that will underpin our status as a leading club.
"Our new stadium project at Bramley-Moore Dock has reached an exciting and landmark stage as it emerges from the ground, with the four main cores now in place. Of course, the stadium alone will not help us achieve our objectives and we are committed to not making the same mistakes again including how we have not always spent significant amounts of money wisely.”
