Jill Scott has lived up to her billing as red hot favourite to win I'm A Celebrity, by triumphing on the ITV show on Sunday night, months after winning the Euros with England's Lionesses. And her victory saw fans breathe a collective sigh of relief, having been startled by Matt Hancock making the final.
Jill had been tipped to do well in the jungle as soon as her name appeared on the line-up for the new series. The England Lionesses hero has been a total star in the Australian jungle from the get-go, staying out of some of the petty squabbles in camp and smashing the Bushtucker Trials she's done. This week, the name at the top of the I'm A Celebrity winner odds has changed on numerous occasions, as Owen crept more and more into the frame.
Owen even eclipsed Jill in the odds at one point, but the Sunderland born star went into the I'm A Celebrity final well ahead of her rivals on 2/9 to win. Matt had been made second favourite to win just hours before the show, but it was Owen who ended up finishing in runners up position.

Ahead of revealing this year's result, Ant and Dec chatted to Jill and Owen and when asked by the hosts what winning I'm A Celeb would mean to her, Jill said: "If Owen was to win King of the Jungle, if i was to win Queen, there's no-one I'd rather be sat here so today's going to be a great day regardless."
The fact that Matt was voted out on third delighted the majority of viewers, who had been concerned he might be in contention to win. One tweeted: "Jill and Owen is a wonderful final two. Either of them is a Worthy winner. Thank God Hancock isn't winning," with a second writing: "YES JILL OWEN FINAL TWO thanks to the british voters for actually getting something right for once."
