Robson Green welcomed Sunderland superstar Jill Scott onto his new BBC Two series for the latest episode of Robson Green's Weekend Escapes, which sees him tour the North East's most stunning beauty spots.
The BBC Two series has so far seen Robson visit Bamburgh, his 'favourite place in the world' where his family used to go every weekend when he was growing up, as he reminisced about his late dad and his love for cold water swimming. The actor also reunited with his former Northern Lights co-star Mark Benton to tour his home turf of Teesside.
Robson said that he was "so chuffed" to meet Lioness legend and I'm A Celebrity champion Jill in Wednesday's episode, who drove all the way up from London for the occasion. The pair were shown around the beautiful Helmsley Walled Gardens in the North York Moors, before driving to the banks of the River Esk to try some paddle boarding.

"You look like Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic," Jill joked when Robson took an unfortunate tumble into the water attempting to do yoga positions on the board, shortly before falling in herself. They warmed up with a cup of tea, where Robson praised Jill for her incredible football career.
"Thank you for everything you've given everybody," Robson gushed. "Not just in this country, but around the world."
Jill also encouraged a reluctant Robson to belt out one of his Robson and Jerome hits, Saturday Night At The Movies, on their road trip. "You're such a good singer!" Jill remarked. "I thought it was all just autotuned and stuff."
"Jill Scott!" Robson gasped in response. "And I just thought you were being remote-controlled on the football pitch!"
Robson then went on solo to spend the night at some Scandinavian-style lodgings at Cliff Stud, an estate above Helmsley where racehorses are bred and live between seasons which offers glamping retreats. After that, it was off to the National Bird of Prey Centre to meet some of its resident owls and eagles.
Reflecting on his most recent trip, Robson said: "I absolutely loved spending time with Jill Scott. What a highlight - what a lovely woman. What a legend."
The next episode will see Robson team up with comedian Lost Voice Guy to explore the outdoors in Country Durham, before being joined by members of his family in Friday's episode for a look around Rothbury in Northumberland. All episodes of the series are available to watch now on BBC iPlayer, and it airs every weeknight on BBC Two at 6:30pm.
